SHS's 12:1 gear set is a speed set for most Version 2 and Version 3 gearboxes. The low ratio finishes each cycle sooner than a stock set, so rate of fire climbs and trigger response sharpens, but it gives up torque, which makes it a match for light springs. The gears are steel, and they're meant for a build that's been set up for speed: on a fast cycle the motor, wiring and battery all work harder, so a MOSFET and a fresh, properly seated shim stack are worth planning around.
