SHS's 16:1 steel gear set replaces the sector, spur and bevel gears in a standard Version 2 or Version 3 gearbox. It's a speed set: a 16:1 ratio finishes each cycle a little sooner than a stock 18:1, so rate of fire climbs and semi-auto feels sharper, but the lower ratio gives the motor less mechanical advantage. That makes it a match for light to moderate springs, where it avoids the high current and heat of driving a heavy spring fast. The gears are steel, so they hold up at higher cycle rates. Re-shim carefully after fitting.
