WellFire CO2 Non Blowback 1911 Airsoft Pistol, Two-Tone

The WellFire G292 is for players who want a CO2 pistol that prioritizes power and reliability over slide action. It uses a non-blowback design, which means the slide stays locked forward while you fire. That trades the realism of a reciprocating bolt for higher gas efficiency and a more compact profile. You get consistent shot-to-shot performance without the gas waste of blowback, and the 24-round magazine holds enough for most CQB engagements before you need to reload.

Velocity and field use. Rated 350–400 FPS on 0.20g BBs. That puts you comfortably inside typical outdoor AEG limits and gives you headroom for fields running at the higher end. Indoor fields often cap around 350, so you may need to verify your chronograph reading before stepping onto a tight CQB lane. As always, chrono with your own BBs before your first game—CO2 output varies with temperature and cartridge age.

Full metal, but not for upgrading. The body, slide and outer barrel are all metal, with polymer grip panels for weight and texture. This feels substantial in hand, especially compared to entry-level polymer pistols. The internals are a closed design, though, so there's no practical upgrade path. If you're looking for a platform to tune or modify, this isn't it. Keep it stock and focus on maintenance instead.

Controls and safety. It has a functional thumb safety and a working grip safety, both true to the 1911 platform. The manual of arms carries over if you're familiar with a real steel 1911. The magazine is a proprietary stick design that inserts smoothly and feeds reliably. Spares are available, but they're platform-specific rather than universal like M4 mags.

What you need besides the gun. The box includes the pistol, one 24-round magazine, a sample bag of BBs and a manual. You'll need to pick up 12g CO2 cartridges, high-quality BBs (0.20g to 0.25g works well), and a holster if you plan to carry it. CO2 cartridges are consumable, so budget for a pack of 20 or more if you're playing regularly. A silicone oil drop on the magazine seal now and then keeps things airtight.

What this isn't for. If you want the slide to cycle with every shot, look at a gas blowback 1911 instead. This won't give you that recoil impulse. It's also not a platform for internal upgrades—treat it as a complete package. For that, consider an AEG or a GBB with a wider aftermarket.
