Grip panels are the easiest upgrade you can make on a 1911 GBB. They change how the gun feels in your hand, and they're the first thing people notice when you rack the slide. These Atlas Custom Works panels swap out the factory plastic for machined aluminum, with a skeleton cutout pattern that sheds weight and gives you a distinct look.
What the skeleton design does. The cutouts aren't just for show. Less material means less weight on the grip frame, and the exposed edges give you a bit more texture when your support hand wraps around. It's a subtle change, but after a full day of games you notice the difference.
Fit and compatibility. These are sized for standard 1911 Government and Commander frame patterns, which covers most gas blowback 1911s on the market — Tokyo Marui, KWA/KSC, WE, ASG, and their clones. If your pistol uses non-standard screw spacing or has an integrated beavertail that changes the grip contour, you might need to check the screw holes before ordering.
Installation. You're swapping two screws. Remove the existing grip panel screws, take off the factory panels, line up the new aluminum panels, and tighten. A small Phillips or flat-head screwdriver is all you need. Do not overtighten — aluminum strips easier than steel, and you can crack the panel if you crank down too hard.
What you get. A matched set of left and right panels in black finish. Atlas Custom Works machines these to consistent tolerances, so the fit should be clean without needing to sand or file anything. If the screw holes line up and the panel sits flush, you're done.
These are cosmetic and ergonomic upgrades, not internals. They won't change your velocity, rate of fire, or reliability. What they do change is how your pistol looks and feels — and for a lot of players, that's reason enough.
