Atlas Custom Works Aluminum Slide Stop Type 2 for GBB Airsoft Pistols, Red

The slide stop is one of those small controls you use constantly — locking the slide back for a mag change, or holding it during a malfunction check. Factory polymer stops on many GBB pistols are thin and can flex under repeated use. The Atlas Custom Works Type 2 replaces that with machined aluminum, so it does not deform and gives you a wider, more positive contact point for your thumb.

What changes with the upgrade. The aluminum body is more rigid than polymer, which means the slide lock engages more consistently. The Type 2 profile adds a bit of width at the contact point, making it easier to hit quickly under stress. It does not change the internal geometry of the stop itself, so you should not expect a different lockup feel — just a more durable part that does not wear down over time.

Installation. This is a drop-in replacement. You remove the existing slide stop pin and swap the part. No gunsmithing, no fitting, no special tools beyond what you already use for field-stripping. If you are doing other work on the pistol, it adds thirty seconds to the job.

Red finish. The anodized red is cosmetic. It does not indicate a different material grade or performance spec — just a color choice for matching your build.

What it is not. This will not improve your trigger, change your velocity, or make the gun more accurate. It is a control upgrade, not a performance mod. If your pistol's slide lock is functioning fine and you do not mind the stock part, there is no functional reason to swap it.
