The M870 is iconic for a reason. Golden Eagle's take on it is a CO2 shotgun that fires through replaceable shells, letting you choose between a three-shot and a six-shot cycle per pump depending on how close the target is.

How the shells work. Instead of a magazine, the gun uses removable shotgun-style shells that each hold 30 rounds. A selector on the chamber lets you choose 3 or 6 rounds per pump. Three rounds is a tighter pattern, better for medium range. Six is a wider spread — closer quarters, where you don't need to aim as precisely. You drop a shell when it's empty and slot in a new one. The cycle is: pump, fire, drop, reload. It's tactile and satisfying, exactly the kind of thing that makes a shotgun feel like a shotgun in airsoft.

CO2 power. 12-gram CO2 cartridges feed each shell, meaning there's a cartridge inside every round. CO2 does mean performance drops in cold weather — if you play in winter, the trade-off is real: realistic blowback versus fewer shots per cartridge. The velocity sits between 260 and 300 FPS on 0.20g BBs, which is comfortable for both indoor and outdoor skirmish. It's not a long-range platform, but shotgun engagements rarely are.

Build. The receiver, outer barrel, magazine tube, top rail, and forend are all metal, and it weighs in at four pounds. That's a solid build. It carries weight, but the full-metal construction gives it the kind of heft and feedback that polymer shells never match. Ghost ring iron sights are included and they do what ghost rings have always done — fast target acquisition at close range. The mock shell tube at the front adds length and visual presence; it doesn't hold gas or BBs, but it looks right.

What you're getting. The package includes CO2 cartridges, shotgun shells, BBs, and the gun itself — so it's genuinely ready to play on arrival. Plan on buying more shells and more CO2. You'll go through both fast in a game.

A note on range. At 315mm outer barrel and shot-pattern projectile, effective range is tight — roughly 40 to 60 feet. Inside that, this thing is devastating. Outside of it, gravity and shot spread take over quickly. If you need range, look at an AEG or GBBR. This is a close-quarters tool.

Includes federally mandated blaze orange muzzle tip.
