The combat shirt solves a simple problem nobody talks about until it's too late: how do you keep your sleeves from soaking through with sweat while your torso stays cool, or vice versa. The Lancer Tactical Combat Shirt does this by splitting its material across two zones. The torso is a stretchy 92% cotton and 8% spandex knit that breathes, moves, and doesn't ride up when you reach. The sleeves are 50/50 cotton-poly ripstop, which is tougher on the outside where your arms take the abrasion.
What's built in. The elbow pads are sewn in, not patches — they stay where they belong and don't ride up inside a plate carrier. There are zippered pockets on both arms and on the chest, which actually work as pockets rather than dead fabric with a zipper on top. Adjustable cuffs let you seal them under gloves or push them up. You get the full kit in one garment.
The trade-off. This is cotton-forward, so it's comfortable in heat but it will hold moisture if you soak through. It's not a synthetic cooling shirt. If you're playing in sustained heat and run hot, layer it over something thin and synthetic as a base and you'll be fine. As a standalone in cool weather it works without a mid-layer.
Fit and sizing. Ranger Green is a straightforward olive tone — not quite OD Green, not quite mud. It runs as a standard US S/M/L tactical shirt, not as PMA sizing, so if you normally order military-issue combat shirts the cut may feel different. The Small fits what the manufacturer calls a Small, but tactical shirt sizing varies enough between brands that checking the size chart before ordering is worth five minutes.
What's in the box. The combat shirt only — no base layer, no gloves, nothing else. The integrated pads and pockets make the shirt itself useful on their own.
