Tactical shirts have always asked you to compromise: wear cotton and sweat through it, or wear nylon and chafe under plate carriers. The Lancer Tactical Combat Shirt splits the difference by putting two different fabrics on the same garment — each doing the job it's built for.
The torso stretches. The sleeves hold up. The body is cut from 92% cotton with 8% spandex, which gives it a t-shirt level of comfort and enough give to move with you when you're stacking up, crawling, or hauling gear. The sleeves are a 50/50 cotton-polyester ripstop, the kind of fabric that resists abrasion from cover, brush, and the drag of a plate carrier. The sleeves won't shred while the torso breathes.
Elbows covered without a separate pad carrier. Integrated elbow pads are built into the sleeve fabric. They won't replace hard ESAPI-rated pads, but they give you a layer of protection against scrapes and hot deck surfaces when you're kneeling or lying in dirt. It's the kind of detail you don't notice until someone leaves it off.
Storage and fit. There are zippered pockets on the upper arms and torso — enough to keep mags, tape, and a pen from falling into the gap between your body armor and your gear. The cuffs are adjustable, which matters when you're rolling sleeves over pads or running the shirt under a jacket. The cut is designed to layer under a plate carrier or vest without excess fabric bunching up in places it shouldn't.
Sizing note. This is the Small size with the standard Lancer cut. Combat shirts run differently from regular shirts because of the layering geometry. If you're between sizes and plan to wear this under a heavy carrier, size up.
Includes the combat shirt only. No carrier, no plates, no pads beyond the built-in elbow reinforcement.
