The BDU shirt is the base layer of a desert-pattern airsoft loadout. Built on the traditional boxy cut that lets you slide a vest or plate carrier over it without fighting the shoulders, it's cut from a 35% cotton / 65% polyester blend — the workhorse mix you'll find on most field uniforms. The cotton keeps it comfortable against the skin, and the polyester dries fast and resists shrinkage through a season of sweat and washes.
The fabric. That 35/65 ratio means it's breathable enough for summer skirmishes but not so thin that it goes see-through or tears on a barbed-wire fence. It's the same material family as the BDU trousers, so the shirt and pants age together and wear the same way. If you're building a full set, grab the matching bottom.
Fit and movement. The cut is generous by design — it's not a fitted layer. The shoulders and sleeves are cut wide enough that you can run a long-sleeve base layer underneath on a cooler morning without restricting your draw or your raise. The short sleeves sit above the elbow, which works in warm weather and doesn't fight against arm guards or tape.
Digital Desert. Four-color pixel pattern — shades of tan, cream, and light brown — that breaks up the silhouette in dry, sandy, or desert terrain. It's the same pattern Lancer Tactical uses on their pant runs, so the full uniform matches straight out of the bag.
What you get. One shirt. No pants, no insignia patches, no velour for morale patches. If you want to stick a name tape or a unit patch on the chest, bring your own hook backing or buy a shirt with it pre-mounted.
Sizes run true to the Lancer Tactical chart. If you're between sizes and plan to layer under it, size up.
