It threads directly into your Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 5.1 slide and gives you a mounting point for accessories while keeping the slide balance close to stock.

The thread spec. It uses 11mm clockwise internal threading, which is the Hi-Capa standard. Most mock suppressors and tracers designed for Hi-Capa use this pattern, so you do not need an adapter for Hi-Capa-specific accessories. If you are running a 14mm counter-clockwise rifle accessory, you will need a 14mm-to-11mm adapter.

What the barrel actually does. On a GBB pistol, an outer barrel doesn't change your velocity or effective range. Those come from the inner barrel and hop-up. This one is for aesthetics, accessory mounting, and protecting the inner barrel from dings. The hexagon profile adds a bit of rigidity, but the main benefit is the look.
