The factory slide stop on most Hi-Capa pistols works fine until it doesn't. The polymer ones wear out after a few thousand rounds, and the stamped metal ones can bind if the fit isn't perfect. This stainless steel Type 1 replacement from Atlas Custom Works is one of those small upgrades that actually changes how the pistol feels in hand.

What it does. The slide stop locks the slide open when the magazine runs dry, just like on a real 1911. This one is machined from stainless steel rather than the stamped metal or polymer most pistols ship with, so it resists wear and won't deform under heavy use. The Type 1 profile matches the original geometry, so it doesn't stick out or catch on gear.

Fit and installation. It's designed for the Hi-Capa platform, which covers Tokyo Marui replicas and the vast majority of aftermarket builds. Most installations drop in without modification, though some frames may need a light file pass on the mounting surface. You'll need a punch or small screwdriver to remove the old pin and seat the new one. If you're not comfortable disassembling the pistol, a local tech can do this in under ten minutes.
