Atlas Custom Works AAP-01 Carbine Kit Type C, FDE

The AAP-01 is a great pistol in the hand, but six inches of barrel doesn't do much for accuracy past thirty feet, and the lack of a rail means your optic options are limited to what clips onto the slide. This kit fixes both problems. It's Atlas Custom Works' Type C conversion for the Action Army AAP-01 — a complete receiver set that turns that compact gas blowback pistol into a carbine with a full-length Picatinny rail, a shoulder stock, and enough barrel to actually put shots where you aim.

How it works. The kit replaces the pistol's lower frame and adds an upper receiver with a 14mm CCW threaded barrel, a full-length Picatinny top rail, and M-LOK slots on the handguard for accessories. The buffer tube extends into the stock, which gives you a solid shoulder platform and a place to stow a battery if you're running an illuminated sight or laser. The whole thing's CNC-machined from 7075 aluminum, so it's stiff and it'll survive drops — polymer conversion kits flex, and flex is what kills zero on cheap optics.

Hop-up adjustment. The Type C moves the hop-up dial to the top of the receiver — the same dial the pistol uses, just in a much more reachable spot. That matters more than most people expect: the same gun with a longer barrel will throw shots wide if the hop isn't dialed in, and a knurled dial you can turn with a glove on is infinitely more reliable than a tiny lever you have to pinch.

What you get. The kit ships as the full carbine assembly — upper receiver, handguard, barrel, buffer tube, stock, and all the hardware to mount it. It's designed for Action Army AAP-01 series pistols specifically, so the mounting interface is proprietary to that platform. You install it by removing the pistol's grip and swapping it onto the kit's receiver — hex keys are included for the mount. What's not in the box is a battery, gas, or optic. The Picatinny rail is there for you to put your own sight on.

Who this is for. Players who already own an AAP-01 and want a carbine configuration without buying a second gun. The conversion keeps all of the pistol's GBB behavior — blowback, working slide, real recoil — it just adds a stock and a rail. If you don't already have the AAP-01, this kit only helps you get one.
